In 2014 when C2S2 gained nonprofit status, Katy Palfrey was brought on as the first Executive Director and eventually assumed the title of Chief Executive Officer. Katy got introduced into the world of conservation after spending time working in the field of animal reproductive control in search of a non-surgical alternative to spaying and neutering pets. Katy is focused on nonprofit entrepreneurship and business analytics, with the intention of utilizing business principles and open innovation to support endangered species sustainability.
Gavin Livingston joined C2S2 as the SPA Program Manager in 2017. Growing up in the zoological animal industry allowed Gavin to build a foundation of the husbandry requirements to raise and care for endangered species. Previously, Gavin has worked for the Center for Elephant Conservation and the National Swine Registry. Gavin is working with participating SPA ranches, breeding centers, and zoos to build sustainable ungulate populations in human care and their native range.
Jacqueline Weeks was brought on to C2S2 in 2018 as Programs Assistant. Jacqueline has a background in marine biology and got involved in conservation after working on projects for The Nature Conservancy in Hawaii and Georgia. Jacqueline currently supports the organizations’s program champions on various projects to enhance the overall performance of C2S2 programs.
